Astronaut Briefing

Welcome, fellow space travelers!

As we prepare for lift-off, it's time to get familiar with our mission details. We've been here in Vietnam for several months searching for the highest quality handmade goods to share with our friends, family, and the whole world! We set out here with a goal that has turned out to be much more difficult than we anticipated: find disadvantaged groups of people that continue to produce traditional products by hand.

Though it's taken a lot longer than we anticipated, we finally found some ethical sources for some amazing products. We aim to be fully transparent in what we do, allowing our supporters to trust our name and purchase things with the confidence that they are supporting communities, and a connection to make it real. We're just finalizing our collections and preparing some beautiful media to share with everyone, but first let's summarize the main things we've accomplished:

So, what's next?

We've found some amazing artisans producing some amazing things here in Vietnam, but we're just getting started. After our first shipment is complete, we hope to continue working with the same communities that we've established relationships with already. We are excited by the future possibility to create some customized and newly designed items! We love to hear from our followers so if you have any ideas you want to see come to life, please talk to us.

Ultimately, our vision is to create a global network of artisans and people who love real, authentic things. We've got some leads on fabulous handmade goods in Nepal, Thailand, Mexico, Nicaragua, and even more countries, and we're excited to make them available to you directly online. As the Space Pirate network grows, so does the connectivity of everyone.

So, if you have any ideas you'd like to see, places you think we should visit, or communities we should get to know, please give us a shout!

We'll be back in next week with more about our upcoming trip to Lao Cai province and getting reading for launch and lift-off!
